There are various models to achieve this goal. Here, Professor Tanner will highlight the distinguishing features of HKU&#8217;s Common Core and compare its approach to interdisciplinarity learning to other globally leading research intensive institutions. Highlights will include recent initiatives including the development of a fifth Area of Inquiry in Artificial Intelligence, as well as piloting Grand Common Core Courses for very large classes of 500 students.
